Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born on May 14th, 1984 in White Plains, New York. His father is a dentist named Edward Zuckerberg and his mother is a psychiatrist named Karen Kempner. He has three sisters, Randi, Arielle and Donna. Mark married Priscilla Chan on May 19th, 2012. The couple have a child named Maxima Chan Zuckerberg who was born on Desember 1st, 2015.

Zuckerberg went to Arsley high school, he excelled in classess. Then, he transferred to Phillips Exeter Academy. On his college application, he claimed that he can read and write French, Hebrew, Latin, and ancient Greek. By the time he started studying at Harvard, he already achieved a reputation as programming prodigy. In his sophomore year, he wrote a program he called CourseMatch, a program that allowed users to make class selection based on the choices of other students and also help them to form a study group.

Zuckerberg then created a program he called Facemash that let the students select the best looking person from a choice of photos. The site went up over a weekend, but the college shut it down because its popularity had overwhelmed one of Harvard’s network switches. Many students also complained because Zuckerberg used their photos for Facemash without their permission, and Zuckerberg apologized publicly.

On February 2004, Zuckerberg launched facebook from his dormitory room in at Harvard. Zuckerberg’s facebook was just a “Harvard thing” until he decided to spread it out to other school with help from his roommate named Dustin Moskovitz. They started with Columbia, New York University, Stanford, Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, Brown, and Yale.
